Social Science II is a survey of the social, economic, and political thought from classical to contemporary times. The course discusses the social, political and economic ideas of fourteen (14) philosophers from the ancient Greece to modern times. The list includes Plato, Aristotle, Augustine of Hippo, Thomas Aquinas, Niccolo Machiavelli, Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Adam Smith, David Ricardo, Karl Marx, John Stuart Mill, Max Weber and Emile Durkheim.
